This Sunday July 19 at 5:00 pm, Kate Danley (that’s her, not Madam(e) Lou in the photo) will perform her one-woman show, “Madam(e) Lou” before taking it to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Juliet Waller will read some of her poetry, and music will be provided by Bronwyn Edwards and Betsy Boyer.
Check out this snippet of an interview Kate did with Seattle Open Art Space last February: last October, “Kevin Finney of Drunken Owl needed a ten-minute piece for his show. I didn’t even have a script to show him, but told him I could present an excerpt of this thing I had been working on about one of Seattle’s erased founders…? Sight unseen, he welcomed it with open arms. I presented it and, again, the response was through the roof. SO! Here we are! This thing has taken on a life of its own! And I’m so grateful for those who believed in it when I had lost all faith.”
Come join us as we respond through the roof again and send Kate off to Edinburgh in style!
