“Don’t Limit Kevin extends” to the frozen foods aisle. They’re all mine: it says so on the package.

Our collaboration with Union Arts Center and their production of “The Aves” was an unmitigated success. Every participant savored the chance to take the stage at the Dorothy Bullitt Cabaret, and the audience was very appreciative. As a new Artistic Director takes the helm at UAC, we’re hopeful to continue collaborating with Union Arts next fall.

Next up: “I Protest,” four performances at two venues over 4 days. On Friday, May 29 at 7:00 pm, we’ll open at the Mountain Room (the bar at the R) in the old Rainier Brewery at 3100 Airport Way S. The stage is bigger, there’s more seating capacity, and there’s ample free parking. If we fill the house, we just might earn some future gigs there. We’re back at the Jules Maes Saloon for the end of our run: Saturday, May 30 at 7:00 pm, Sunday, May 31 at 5:00 pm, and Monday June 1 at 7:00pm.

Our cast of Sumant Gupta, Christina Williams, Adam Tapp and Paige Dasher will act in plays written by Barbara Lindsay, Pamela Hobart Carter, Anna Tatelman and Carolynne Wilcox. Poets Kaitlyn DeMeyere and Mike Hickey will read some of their work, and music will be provided by bassist Mike Goldfine and friends.

Big News: Rache’ Purcell has sold the Jules Maes Saloon. New owners Shoko and Angelo took control on Friday 5/15. The word so far is that all bookings proceed as per usual, but who knows? This makes the Mountain Room all the more interesting.
Please come out the last weekend of May to support the performing arts.
