A message from the Director and Emcee, Kevin Finney
Greetings and Happy St. Patrick’s Day! We’re looking forward to another good show this Sunday, March 19, 2023, so come one come all, and bring your friends. Perhaps they’ll still be serving corned beef and cabbage like last year!
Here’s the lineup:
Bard Owls open with “One,” by U2 and “Whiskey in the Jar,” a traditional Irish tune.
We read “Anyone Sitting Here?” by John C. Davenport. Jerry Stein reads Phil, Alexandra Varriano reads Eleanor, Jana Blumberg reads stage directions.
Audition Fun by Kevin Finney (possibly, come and find out…)
We read “Remembering Hank Aaron,” by Thomas Pierce. Jana reads Marion, Peter Murray reads Stan and Chris McCullough reads Jeffrey. Alexandra reads stage directions.
Poetry by Mary Ellen Talley: “Reaction to Reading,” “The Laundress of Dingle,” and “Love of Language.” Mike Hickey reads “Remember This” and “Suicide Squeeze” and maybe more.
To close, we read “More,” by Anna Tatelman. Chris reads Beaumont, Alexandra reads Ashley Sydney Penticutt reads Harper, Jerry reads Morgan and Peter reads stage directions.
Bard Owls seal the deal with “The Wind that Shakes the Barley,” by Dead Can Dance and “Althea” but the Grateful Dead.
