I’m late! I’m late!

You know how it at this time of year: we lose track of things. I posted ticket links for this Sunday’s Family Dysfunction reading just yesterday, and we have a great show. A cast of Christina Williams, Lori Bellamy, Monique Preston, Adam Tapp and Sumant Gupta will read plays by John C. Davenport, Romney Humphrey, Vincent Kovar and Barbara Lindsay. Lori and Deborrah Corr will read poetry, and The Mikes will provide music. We’ll have some special guests as well.

Chef LaShae has created some yummy specials: Creamy shrimp pesto over penne noodles with garlic naan or Grilled pork chop with maple bacon fried Brussels sprouts.

Our last reading, “To Shrew or Not to Shrew,” was connected to Union Arts Center’s production of “Shrew,” and it was a great success. In spite of the Mariners’ playoff game starting at the same time, we sold out our show, presenting plays that had been written specifically for our reading. Look for a similar connection for our show on April 19. We’ll follow that with a reading at Union Arts Center on Saturday, April 25. Drunken Owl hits the big time!

If you appreciate what we do at Drunken Owl Theatre, please consider buying a season ticket for 2026. For only $100, your seat for eight monthly readings and three productions is assured, and you’ll only have to pay ticketing fees one time. Advance season ticket sales have helped launch DOT to new heights the last two years, allowing us to purchase set pieces and lights and take our show on the road to Concrete.
