It’s been a busy couple of years at Drunken Owl Theatre. We’ve produced our first three full performances of plays, stretching artistically, dabbling in various styles, working with a variety of actors. Since our post-pandemic reincarnation at Jules Maes Saloon, our venue since January, 2022, more than eighty different artists have collaborated on our shows and productions, and we’ve only just begun.
For the first time, we’re offering season tickets. For $100, patrons may attend all twelve shows in the calendar year 2024, including any full productions. We’re halfway to selling out our season tickets; we’ll close those sales on December 31, 2023. https://www.venuepilot.co/events/89403/orders/new
Join us Sunday, December 17 at 6:00 pm for our Winter Solstice Special. We’re not Anti-Christmas; we’re Pro-Solstice. The Bard Owls and musical guests will play a bit more than usual, Judith Camann and Pamela Hobart Carter return to recite poetry, and we’ll read plays by Robin Ellen Brooks, Suzi Bailie, Elena Naskova and Thomas Pierce.

On January 19, 2024, we’ll open a run of four performances in three days of our “Marine Mammals and Their Mythical Mates” production. Playwrights Carolynne Wilcox, John C. Davenport, Scot L. Bastian and Kevin Finney offer their takes on mermaids and seals, selkies and sea lions. Poets Pamela Hobart Carter and Mike Hickey will raise the cool factor, and the Bard Owls will provide a musical backdrop.
